If you fall in the rare category of people who still do not own a tablet yet, then the HP TouchPad is something you should consider seriously. We all know that HP decided to abandon its WebOS and as a direct consequence, HP decided to clear away the stock with an irresistible deal – $99 for the base 16 GB model and $150 for the 32 GB model.
However, this ‘once in a lifetime’ deal has caused a selling frenzy, with almost everybody wanting one of their own, and hence, the online retailers are already sold out. WebOS may not be a liking for a majority of people for the low quantity of third party apps it has to offer, but with this new revised price offering, the HP TouchPad seems to be more than worthy of its price tag and will prove to be a precious steal if you are lucky enough to grab one that is! Still, you can give a try and head on over to your local HP store to try your luck!
For those of you who are not familiar with a hands-on experience with the HP TouchPad, the device offers a 9.7 inch capacitive touchscreen with a resolution of 768X1024 pixels. The CPU is a 1200 MHz dual core Qualcomm Snapdragon APQ8060. It also sports a 1.3 megapixel camera to aid the modern trend of video calling. HP TouchPad also includes other standard features that has now become a must, such as – multi-touch support, accelerometer, gyroscope, bluetooth, GPS, etc.
The HP TouchPad had immense promises attached to its name with the new WebOS 3.o making its debut in the much anticipated tablet device.
Now, all this rush makes one wonder whether HP just could have launched the TouchPad at a much more cheaper price than what it was originally, then maybe such a decision to discontinue the WebOS could have been avoided.
